One Girls Crazy Outlook on life in Southern Maine

In December 2010 I moved to Southern Maine from a small town next to Bangor (Bangor is right in the center Maine and is one of the largest cities in Maine for those of you wondering if it's in Canada). Here are some crazy stories of outings, hikes, beer and just the general mayhem that is my life. Welcome. Enjoy. Love it.

Portland Pies Company

So, I should be doing laundry and generally doing stuff to get ready to go north in a couple days. But instead I am going to sit here with a glass of wine and talk about one of my favorite restaurants in the Portland area, PORTLAND PIE CO.!

Location: 51 York St. Portland Maine 04101
Price: $$

I am going to start by saying that the pizza at Portland Pie Company is the most epically amazingly deliciously outstanding pizza that I have ever had in my entire life.  I will also tell you that it is something that we don't get often because, for pizza, it's not cheap. One Large specialty pizza is about 20 dollars. Plus, we usually get a beer, because well, lets face it, beer and pizza is EPIC.

Obviously, they have your typical peperoni pizza, cheese pizza, sausage, hamburger, and anything else that you can think of as a typical pizza.  However, they also have amazing specialty pizzas!
Not only do they have different types of thick, fluffy crust:

Basil, Beer, Garlic, Wheat, and Gluten-Free,

They also have the CRAZIEST names for pizzas:

CHICKEN PIZZAS:

NOR’EASTER

Honestly, if those don't sound like the most amazing pizza's you have ever heard of than you must be crazy! Don't be mistaken though, Portland Pie Company doesn't JUST have pizza. They also have buffalo wings, bread sticks, soups, salads, pastas, wraps, sandwiches, toasted sandwiches, and calzones.

I highly highly recommend Portland Pie Company to anyone! Check it out and enjoy!
